"The workshop has explored the construction of spaces: to define a territory, to create a boundary between interior and exterior; how spaces might affect behaviour or movements. Clothing and architecture were reference points, both of which relate closely to the body. Spatially, these disciplines maybe represent the extremes of closeness and distance from the person, with many other possibilities in between. Choices about whether students worked small or large scale, in a static or dynamic way, what type of space to define (personal; intimate; social or other) were open. Determining materials to work with; selecting words to identify aims or inspiration; relating ideas to existing works to contextualise ideas, and discussions were used to develop thinking, making and realisation." /Caroline Broadhead
