A workshop of the architectural class of Ben van Berkel at the Städelschule art academy in Frankfurt on the issue of material deformation was held in summer 2003. In co-operation with materials experts and industrial partners the properties of diverse materials were tested, and molded parts for potential architectural applications were produced. The working process was documented in film and photographs which were shown together with some of the resulting objects. The project was supervised by Johan Bettum, Sigurdur Gunnarsson, Harald Kloft, Nicola Stattmann and ff melange.
