The project Propositions for the Landscape aims to create poetic, temporary gestures in the landscape of Norway by developing knitted interfaces that establish subversive - and often absurd - relationships between the body and its environment. The ongoing research is exploring the re-appropriation of the physical by using material strategies as a tool for negotiating the boundaries between bodies, the non-constructed (nature) and the constructed (textile interfaces).

The Nordic Artists' Centre Dalsåsen is a contemporary art institution that runs an artist-in-residence program and related activities. The program aims to encourage international contacts for artists and focuses on visual culture including design and architecture, locally rooted practice and nordic as well as international processes. The centre is located on the Norwegian west coast, north from Bergen. The nkd receives funding from the Norwegian Ministry of Culture and Church affairs. The nkd offers individuals or groups of visual artists, architects and designers the possibility to stay at the centre to work on specific projects. Gabi will be a resident fellow at ndk in summer 2010.
